Education & learning projects

Connect objectives, explanation, exercises and feedback. An original mini lesson about checking references illustrates educational design and learning assessment.

SERVICE AREA

Understand this service area

Educational projects connect learning goals, teaching material, guidance and feedback. Reference pathways illustrate content relationships. Organizations can enquire about a proposed educational project; third-party course guides retain their own sources.

Conditions to assess

Assess learners, objectives, content, teaching resources, format and applicable requirements in relation to the project.

This page introduces a service area and illustrative scenarios. Organizations can email their goals, current conditions and requirements. After receiving an enquiry, we assess feasibility, implementation conditions and whether to take on the project. Any next steps require mutual agreement.

SEE THE SCENARIO

Understand the subject through an example

Mini lesson: can a reference be checked?

Objective

Identify the source, location and scope of a statement and explain problems caused by missing information.

Explanation

A source identifies origin; a location returns the reader to the text; scope describes objects, periods and conditions. Together they support review but do not automatically prove a claim.

Worked example

“Section 3 of source A discusses sample X under condition Y” is more reviewable than “the data show a better effect” because it retains location and conditions.

Exercise: turn “research shows this approach is more effective” into a record that can be checked, identifying at least three missing details.

Show sample answer & feedback

Reference answer: identify the source and location, compared approaches, outcome measure, period and conditions. A template is: “Source [document and location] compares [A and B] under [conditions], reporting [measure].” The goal is a reviewable statement, rather than accepting “more effective”.

Task

Write a record retaining source, location and scope.

Understanding

Explain the difference between reviewability and correctness.

Transfer

Apply the same checks to a public source of your choice.

Original illustrative scenarios explain requirements and workflows without connecting to live business data.

Common questions

How do educational projects relate to course resources?

Access third-party courses through their identified providers. For an organizational project, email goals, learners, content and format to discuss conditions and arrangements.

How does the lesson differ from third-party courses?

The mini lesson is original reflib educational content with explanation, exercise and sample feedback. Third-party courses retain their own sources and provider information.
